Educational City Walking Tours for grades 4-12
TORONTO IS THE CLASSROOM
For over 12 years, Walk T.O. has been bringing Toronto into the classroom — outside.
Nine curriculum-aligned walking tours for Grades 4–12, in English and French, designed to get students thinking, discussing, and making sense of the city around them.
We lead walks in the Fall, Winter and Spring seasons.
Four Reasons to take a walk with us:

Built for the Curriculum
Every tour is designed around Ontario curriculum expectations for Grades 4–12, with classroom outcomes at the centre — making it straightforward to connect the experience to what students are working on before and after the visit.

Skilled Facilitators
Our guides draw students into genuine discussion, ask questions that push thinking, and make the city itself the subject of the lesson. They know how to work with student groups and how to get the most out of two hours on the street.

Over 12 years in the Field
We’ve been running curriculum-aligned tours in Toronto since 2013 — enough time to know what works for students, what works for teachers, and how to make the day run smoothly.

Easy to Plan
We know teachers are working with tight timelines, bus logistics, and a lot of moving parts. We keep the booking process simple and are happy to help with the details.
Testimonials
“The Art Walk was amazing; my grade 6 students got to walk, climb, draw and photograph Toronto. I look forward to taking this field trip every year.”
–Andrea C, Grade 7 Teacher, Toronto District Catholic School Board
“Our students enjoyed all aspects of the walk, but if I had to pick a favourite, it would be the reporter-on-the-street activity. We were amazed how they took to it and the courage they demonstrated in approaching the public. The follow up assignments were excellent also. We had them complete the news article as individuals and the advertising assignment in their groups. The rubrics were also well thought out.”
